| Cub Scout Pack 1240 won a blue ribbon for
their booth at the Lenoir County Fair this past week. The
booth shared events that we have participated in throughout the past
year and encouraged others to join Cub Pack 1240 as we "Create
Tomorrow's Leaders Today". The pack will also be planting a
tree at one of our local city parks in honor of the 100th
Anniversary of Boy Scouting. Cub Pack
1240 once again received more new members from the Southwood School
roundup than any other pack. We have added approximately six
new guys so we are pretty busy on Tuesday nights at 6:30. We would
love to see more involvement from the boys in our church so please
consider visiting. Boys welcome, volunteer leaders
appreciated!!!
The Cub Scout 1240 will be placing a
collection tub in the foyer for coats the congregation may wish to
discard. All sizes are welcome. The coats will be
distributed to ICOR or to Southwood School depending on the need.
As you get your clothes for the fall, please consider donating a
coat for this drive if you are no longer in need of it and wish it
to have a new home!!!
